In an industry where companies seem to come and go in the blink of an eye, it says something that Twin Cities Siding and Roofing has been a steady and reliable member of the community since 1995. A generation of homeowners has come to trust us to provide the kind of quality work and exceptional service you expect and deserve when remodeling your home. How did we get to the point where our customers feel comfortable saying, “We love our contractor!”? Here’s our story…
It started as a love story. Before we were married, we decided that we wanted to build our lives together both at home and at work. Our goal was to open a franchise restaurant. Seriously! But before we took that step we thought it would be important to gain some experience running a business. Terry had grown up doing painting and carpentry work as a volunteer at his church, then worked in the maintenance department while attending North Central Bible College. Kristen majored in economics and psychology at St. Olaf College, and then earned her MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. The logical place to start was with a painting company.
Needless to say, we never donned our aprons in the kitchen of our restaurant. The reception our painting business received from our neighbors in the Twin Cities region was beyond belief. We loved helping people to make their homes look their best and took enormous pride in seeing their faces light up with delight when they saw how we brightened a room or transformed an exterior. We still do.
From the beginning we made a pact: we do the absolute best job we could, without cutting corners, and while treating every customer as a cherished friend. Little did we know that this attitude would make our new company stand out in the home improvement industry.
A Growing Concern
Our early customers were so pleased with our work that they began asking us to do more. The next logical step was to offer siding, which quickly became our core service. So much so that it became part of our name. “Twin Cities Siding and Roofing” captured what we do and how we do it. Later we expanded to add window replacement, stone façade, and insulation to our list of services. All while keeping our focus on our customers at every step of the way.

A big part of what has made our company successful is our unrelenting drive to make our customers happy. We know that these products will live up to the high expectations we hold for our suppliers – and ourselves.
Nobody likes to be kept in the dark, especially when you are investing money in your home. So we make sure to engage and involve you during every phase of your project. We stay in constant contact with you from your first phone call or email, right through the planning process, selection of materials, scheduling and installation. Our promise is that you will always know what is going on, with no surprises (until the very end, when we guarantee you will be thrilled with how great your home looks!). The home improvement process should not be a chore but should be smooth and well organized. You can count on us to return phone calls promptly, share ideas and present plans in plain language, be open and honest about costs, arrive at your home on time, do the work professionally and thoroughly, then clean up after ourselves.

We grew up in Minnesota, we chose to start a family here, and we are here to stay. Naturally, we want to do our part to make our community the best it can be. We’re involved in many ways.
- We have a long-term relationship with the Dodge Nature Center to provide ongoing renovation and preservation services.
- Terry has served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota for four years and has served on the ISD 97 School Board for five years.
- Kristen has been co-president and treasurer of the PTA at Friendly Hills Middle School, treasurer of the PTA at Somerset Elementary School, and treasurer of the Henry Sibley soccer boosters.
- Terry and Kristen co-chaired the Friendly Hills Silent Auction fundraiser for four years.
