St. Paul, MN (May 4, 2015): A nationwide survey of building professionals has named James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding as the “Most Sustainable” siding product, according to Twin Cities Siding & Roofing, Inc. of St. Paul, the regional distributor of James Hardie products.
Green Builder® Media conducted the survey, which polls the residential construction market to gain insights into the sustainable product preferences and brand perceptions of building professionals. James Hardie was selected as offering the greenest products in the siding category, with the most respondents recommending the company’s sustainable exterior options over other siding manufacturers.
“One of the most important factors in sustainability is durability,” said Terry Stamman, President of Twin Cities Siding & Roofing. “James Hardie products simply last longer and don’t need to be replaced like other siding materials.” Stamman also explained that James Hardie siding is more “green” because it is composed of natural and sustainable raw materials such as cement, sand, cellulose fiber and water.
